Steve Crabb's Introduction to Corporate NLP was a great opportunity for delegates to find out more about how NLP can be used in the corporate environment. Touching on many of the aspects of what he would later be delivering in a week long Corporate Training for NLP LIFE TRAINING, Steve's easy style and smooth manner gave a taster to the audience of what they could expect from the full week-long training.

Steve gave introductions to many of the themes that he would later develop in his full length Corporate Training. So, there was a discussion of state generation and maintenance, some work on time management which was also combined with how to aim for excellence in whatever you do. Steve also took the attendees through techniques that would allow them to prime their unconscious to expect more money. Catching people as they were leaving, it was clear that the Introduction to Corporate Training had been a great success.

One, attendee, Nita Saini, a self-employed project manager from Southampton summed up the feelings of many people there:

"I came along without any preconceptions, except that I knew that the evening would cover something that would be of benefit to me and my business. As a project manager, I basically I go to different companies and offer them my Project Management skills and experience. What I was surprised about today - and what I found was of massive value - was that the skills Steve showed us are absolutely fundamental for anybody who is in business. I think the other eye-opener was that they can be applied not only to business - but also to people's personal lives. So, for example, we covered time management. This is at the heart of a lot of people's lives.

"And we also covered money, which we all need, and we all have, and we all like to have. We did a magnificent technique to help us have more of that.

"There was also a lot to do with state management. The variation on the one-point technique we were shown was clearly extremely useful. I'd actually already learned the basic one-point technique from Paul McKenna when I did the Practitioner with him - but Steve added a lot more to it. And the techniques are so easy to do, and yet make such a big difference. You know, the state that an individual is in is going to impact on how effective they are in their business. It's going to change how they're going to be perceived by their customers, how they're going to be perceived by other employees, by their colleagues - by many people. And to be in a really good state while we're interacting with other people is going to put those people in a good state, too. So, in that way we can do the best and be the best that we possibly can. For me this was a great evening. It is something I will definitely be following up on in future."

The subject of one of Steve's demonstrations was Roberto Lopez, who is an olive oil merchant from Spain. Steve Crabb demonstrated how to change your wealth thermostat with Roberto - a technique designed to adjust the levels of money and wealth that you expect to have in your life. As Steve pointed out, many people are held back by their perception of their own worth - and the wealth thermostat is a means of changing your expectations of money. Steve's deft and smooth application of NLP techniques soon had Roberto thinking about money in new ways. Watching Steve at work, it is little wonder that his reputation is so big in the NLP world, and that he regularly assists Paul McKenna in his UK trainings.

"...we also covered money, which we all need, and we all have, and we all like to have. We did a magnificent technique to help us have more of that..."

I caught up with Roberto Lopez after the event and asked him how the wealth thermostat was for him.

Roberto replied:

"I was ecstatic. To be honest with you - that was amazing."

I ask him whether he feel that the exercise was useful to him.

"Oh, yes - very useful. I think I'm going to have to pay royalties to Steve for the rest of my life, now."

I ask him a little more about what Steve did with him, and what he experienced.

"Steve did a series of visualisations with me - then anchoring and more anchoring. To be honest, after a while I was not really aware of what was going on in the room. I could hear Steve, and all I could see was money. Streams and streams of money. And it was funny because as time went by there were less coins and more notes. This was great - but then I had two or three business ideas just come into my head from nowhere. It was fantastic. This has been a very useful time for me."

This taster of what Steve Crabb's Corporate Training can achieve was well received by the attendees. In all, a fascinating evening, that showed many the direct application of NLP to the business environment.
