OCTOBER '09 PRACTITIONER COURSE A GREAT SUCCESS
I am writing this newsletter with the Practitioner Course just completed, and the Master Practitioner Course in full swing. It has been an amazing month here in London, with Richard Bandler and John La Valle taking a whole new intake of delegates through the Practitioner course. It has been a privilege to see the transformations in so many people who came to the course not knowing what to expect. For those who want to read more about the course, Matt Wingett has written a review of the Practitioner Course in his article Adventures in NLP. Matt has also reviewed the sellout Introduction To NLP with Richard Bandler in his article An Evening With Richard Bandler. The seminar room was absolutely packed with people who had come from miles around to see and hear Dr Bandler describing NLP in the way that only he knows how - and demonstrating it on some genuinely amazed members of the audience.
ALSO IN THIS MONTH'S ISSUE
In his article
Logical Levels and Rapport, NLP LIFE TRAINING's Corporate Trainer, Steve Crabb writes about how to build rapport by using reference to Logical Levels. This is a powerful exercise to help you identify things that you might have missed when building rapport in a business context. Remember, Steve Crabb is a successful entrepreneur and is Paul McKenna's and Richard Bandler's Head Assistant in the UK. He will be teaching many more of his skills in a corporate context in NLP LIFE TRAINING'S Corporate Training Days.
Find out more about his course, here.
Meanwhile, James More describes how he had a crash course in time distortion... literally, in his article
Time and Time Again. Sue Atkins gives us a wonderful article on
Teaching Tolerance to our kids, and Michael Neill describes how to
Stop Self Sabotage. All in all, this is a bumper, fun-packed seminar issue. There will be more on basic hypnotic language patterns from Matt Wingett next month.
Thanks everyone for your continued interest in NLP. If you have a story that you want to share with us - then please - write in and let us know. We are always interested. Address you emails to matthew.wingett@nlplifetraining.com
Thanks again, all!

Announcement: Mind Your Language Competition Winner
The prize for the Mind Your Language Hypnotic Ambiguity Competition goes to Sam Brown for the sign he saw stuck on a drum kit in a music shop:

It does seem rather a foolish thing to advise someone - especially if you are trying to sell them a musical instrument. The pattern is a Simple Deletion. Who, specifically, should not play which drums? Does it mean all people all the time? Or does it mean that I should never play any drums, ever? Of course, it is meant to mean those drums there... but that is the nature of deletion. You just can't be sure.
What tickled me about the sign is also how, for me, the sign has an almost audible tonality of exasperation. PLEASE do not play the drums. So, extra marks for intonation on this one I think! Needless to say, a copy of Michael Neill's Supercoach will be on its way to you soon, Sam.
Meanwhile, when you see a sign with an ambiguity in it, send it to matthew.wingett@nlplifetraining.com. Or, more accurately, send a picture of it! If your picture is chosen, you too can win some goodies!
