Anne Jirsch....Before NLP I was frozen with fear
I realise now, my fear of public speaking, held me back for over twenty years. I remember once hiding in the loo when I was meant to be on stage. I could my name over the loudspeaker but I was frozen with fear.
When they eventually found me and ‘dragged’ me on stage I could hardly speak. My mind went blank, my mouth was dry, my heart felt as if it would burst through my chest. I found ways to avoid the situation and in effect put my career on hold.
Three years ago I took the NLP practitioner course and on phobia day, an assistant took just four minutes to clear that phobia.
Last year I gave a talk to 250 people for over an hour with batting an eyelid.
