In The Presence Of The Masters - by Dawn Byrne
Dawn Byrne writes of her personal experience in the presence of the NLP masters who invite her to change her life, and lets us know what she learned on her NLP LIFE TRAINING course...
I go to the Change Your Life in 3 Days at Wembley Stadium with little or no expectation concerning its content or what I actually want to achieve by the end. I guess I feel a bit like a blank canvass awaiting the inspiration of a talented artist. I sit among several hundred other people, eager to see what the day will have in store. Paul and Michael kickstart the day and I am immediately gripped and elevated to a place of excited anticipation. The morning is filled with a myriad of interesting stories, practical demonstrations and hilarious analogies, easily forgetting that with the passing of time I am moving towards a happier state of being. Richard takes over for the next session and I instantly feel that I am in the presence of a master. I am enthralled every time he takes the stage.
The ensuing three days evolve into a joyous experience. A room that started out full of strangers now seems like a high school reunion where everyone knows everyone and we are all happy to see each other once again. Confidence is growing in many, and the once tense expressions melt into cheesy grins, as self empowerment washes over us like a wave. We encourage each other and feel like proud parents every time we witness a realisation in another. There are often times when I feel a personal breakthrough and at that moment it feels like the whole room is with me, smiling with pride and love.
Within the blink of an eye, the course is coming to an end and I feel that many unwanted aspects have now been replaced by positive reinforcements. It’s been an enjoyable and wonderful experience. I understand that it is my choice to change anything I want, and I now have the skills to take away and actively apply to my life. Perhaps I and many others attended assuming that three guys would wave a magic wand, click their fingers and change our lives in a flash! This was not the case. I now realise it is me who will change my life and I will take the responsibility (and the credit) for my own progression. That fact feels pretty damn good!
To sum up how I feel after the experience is easy: I feel motivated, energised and re-connected to my true self. I have laughed, cried, mostly tears of joy and feel like I have just been given membership to an exclusive club that has all the tools needed to live a rich life. I can be anything I want, achieve anything I want and have anything I want. This heightened state has continued and is positively influencing people around me now I’ve arrived home.
The last word must emphasize the dedication, expertise and talent of the speakers, each one unique and inspiring;
Michael Neill - A boundless bundle of energy and enthusiasm, with engaging stories that in turn effortlessly breaks down our negative reinforcements, it is hard to believe he was ever in a place where he felt life had little to offer him. Humble and unassuming yet reminiscent of 'bouncing tigger ' he truly warmed my heart.
Paul McKenna – A consummate professional and even more entrancing in real life. A cool calm exterior brims over with extensive knowledge and wisdom. He truly conveys a strong desire and honest enthusiasm to facilitate change in others. His love of laughter and dance is truly infectious. Fun with a capital F!
Richard Bandler – A true master at work. As he recounts the stories of his experience, you realise just how much he has no doubt turned the world of psychotherapy on its head, and then some! He likes to play the villain in the pantomime yet fails to mask his genuine love for what he does and the people it affects. I am in awe!!
