Before I started doing the Paul McKenna weight-loss system I tried every sort of diet – fat counting, calorie counting, I even tried not eating until after five o’clock at night. I had reached a point where I had given up… I was fat. It ran in my family. What could I do about it? Then a colleague said to me that she had done the Paul McKenna system and that she was feeling really good, so I thought I would give it a try. What did I have to lose?

Once I started doing it I was amazed how easy it was to lose weight and I soon realised that it was not a diet, just a different way of looking at food. I now really enjoy my food, rather than spending all my time thinking about it and then wolfing it down, as I used to do. I now eat when I’m hungry and I get much more out of the whole eating experience. The only problem is that when I am in restaurants I often find that the portions are too big and I have to explain that the food was good, but that I couldn’t eat it all because I felt full.

I find that I have much more energy now, partly, I’m sure, because I’m no longer carrying the extra weight round with me, but mainly because when I listen to the CD it says that I’ll have more energy when I wake up and I do. I now enjoy walking my son to school. I always used to take the car. One of my greatest pleasures is shopping for clothes. I always used to walk round the shops feeling depressed because I knew that if they had my size I would look awful, but now I really enjoy looking at the clothes because I know that they’ll look good on me.

Since doing the Paul McKenna weight-loss system I feel much more positive about life and everything that I approach. The weight loss is like an added bonus to the way the whole system makes me feel.
