Lost 6 1/2 stone

I'd dieted many times over the years.  I'd lose the weight, but put it all back on, plus some extra for good measure.  I got heavier and heavier, until by 2005 I was over 230lbs, depressed, unhappy and convinced I'd be fat for the rest of my life.  I'd given up.

My husband, John, lost weight using Paul's book and CD, and kept nagging me to try it. I didn't think it could possibly work for me, so I resisted.  Then over Christmas I was sitting on the sofa with a cat on my lap, and I asked John to put on a DVD as there was nothing interesting on TV.  Sneakily, he put in Paul's Weight Loss DVD and said "Watch that!"  I didn't want to disturb the cat so I gave in and watched the DVD.  I still didn't think it would work, but at least it would stop John nagging me about it.

To my surprise the advice made sense, and I started following the 4 rules.  To my amazement I started to lose weight.  Realising there was obviously something to this after all, I read Paul's book.

The section on exercise encouraged me to start walking on my treadmill.  John had bought it for me 6 months earlier in an attempt to get me to exercise.  (I used it to dry washing on.)  I just started walking 2000 steps, and found I actually enjoyed exercising!  I got quicker and went further and ended up running.

In February 2006, when I went on Paul's Weight Loss Seminar, I had already lost 21lbs.  After the seminar the weight seemed to come off even easier.  By April 2006 I was wearing size 16 clothes – at my heaviest I was wearing size 24/26!

If I hadn't got any smaller I would have been happy, but my weight kept falling. As well as changing your attitude to food, the system also helps you change your attitude to yourself.  It enables you to accept and like yourself again.

At the end of August 2006 I had lost over 77lbs and entered a 10K race.  I haven't looked back.  Almost 2½  years on, I'm now around 91lbs lighter, a size 12 and have completed three full marathons.

Using Paul's Weight Loss system has been a life changing experience.  It's the easiest way I've ever lost weight.   It was never a struggle; I never binged or felt miserable.  It has given me complete freedom around food. I eat what I want, when I want.

Before when I dieted and lost weight, although I got temporarily thin (I have photographs) I don't remember enjoying being thin.  I remember the struggle dieting and then feeling a complete failure as the pounds piled back on.  With Paul's system, for the first time in my life, I feel the weight has gone for good.
