John La Valle - President of the society of NLP™ - co-author of Persuasion Engineering®
One of the World's most respected corporate consultants and the co-author of 'Persuasion Engineering'® with Richard Bandler.
"When I first became interested in NLP, it was quite by accident. I came across a one day basic introduction program and was wowed in the first hour. As soon as I could, I attended my first Practitioner program. I quickly figured how best to adapt the technology of NLP into business applications.
Since then, I have personally trained with most of the 'major players' in the field in the 1980's. I met Richard Bandler early in my training and his attitude and skill appealed to me. He could get results! Being a bottom line business person, I liked that! No fluff, no theories, just get down to it and change! I liked it.
What I found most interesting was the fact that I could get results in the business arena. I’m still in contact with a lot of my corporate clients across the globe, many of whom have seen their business multiply year after year. They still bring me in for 'tune-ups' from time to time. They hire better people, promote the right ones, train differently and even manage differently. Ultimately they lower their costs and increase profits. That's the bottom line!
People have asked me what the turning point was for me in my own training. Well the first thing was the moment I realized that it’s not just enough to want, but then to do. Stepping across that line and just going for it! The second was realizing how powerful language is and how easily we can change behaviour using just language.
Miracles? Sure, I've seen many, I've been accused of performing some, but I don’t think that. I find that learning how to use our brains and using them correctly is contagious.
Teaming up with Kathleen and Richard for the Practitioner Seminar and Master Practitioner Seminar, our diverse backgrounds and broad skill sets really bring the party to these top of the line seminars!"

She specializes in Customer Service, Intuitive Processing, Sales & Influence, and Education. Her humorous style and passion for training comes through every time she takes the stage.
Kathleen loves teaching the language patterns in NLP because as she has heard John La Valle say, “In NLP, linguistics is our middle name”. Her approach makes it so easy to understand and fun to learn and utilize.
It has been a quest for her to find more and more ways to make the complex seem easy and optimized so that her students can immediately go use the skills and get results that last.
Kathleen also maintains a publishing house for books, CDs/DVDs, and seminar room wall charts. She is the Program Director for NLP Seminars Group International.
The NLP Master Practitioner Training takes place between 09:00 – 18:00 every day. We ask that delegates arrive on the first day half an hour early to help with registration and allocation of course materials.
The Master Practitioner Course takes a different approach to learning in contrast with the Practitioner Course. In the Master Practitioner Course, students are already expected to be competent at the skills and attitudes central to NLP. The course is designed to build on the knowledge students have already acquired, in order to really "Master" those skills.
Mastery includes attaining a deeper understanding of the methodology beneath the skills and patterns taught in the Practitioner course. This will enable the students to improvise and create new applications of NLP in different situations as the need arises.
The Master Practitioner Course requires that delegates have a good working knowledge of NLP, and in order to ensure that this is the case, a small part of the course involves the delegates revisiting some of the training that they were given in the Practitioner Course. This time through, they are asked to consider their previous training at a deeper level and are shown specifically some of what underlies their initial training.
This approach simultaneously allows delegates to fill in any "gaps" in their understanding, and brush up on skills that have either grown rusty, or where they consider that they need to improve. From here, the delegates can then proceed into the Master Practitioner Course proper. The Master Practitioner Manual thus recapitulates much of what was presented in the Practitioner Course. However, the oral component has a new and deeper emphasis, as is reflected in the exercises laid out in the Master Practitioner manual. As with the Practitioner Course, the Master Practitioner Course relies heavily on oral components from the trainers.
Indeed, with skilled trainers, the training of Master Practitioners can take place alongside Practitioner training, with the different learning levels targeted effectively as Master Practitioners learn deeper understandings of how the skills taught at Practitioner level work.
Behavioral competency in all Practitioner level skills, and the ability to demonstrate utilisation of several of these skills simultaneously.
The ability to design behavioral flexibility and attitudes that produce specific results with self and others.
The ability to identify and utilise the Master Practitioner skills, techniques, and patterns linguistically, as follows:
Changing Beliefs - the ability to combine skills to alter the way that clients / colleagues perceive challenges, to remove negative conceptions and to enable clients / colleagues to adopt beliefs that will enable them to reach their desired outcomes.
Eliciting & Utilizing Meta-Programs - identifying and understanding the unconscious predilections of clients.
Identification of and Utilization of Criteria - the ability to identify how a person prioritises their interactions with the world.
Adjusting Criteria - how to help a person find a better means of prioritisation.
Sleight of Mouth Patterns - the ability to embed commands, reframe perceptions and make changes in consciousness conversationally.
Deliberate multilevel communication - how to deliver messages consciously and unconsciously, simultaneously.
Stacking Realities - building metaphors within metaphors to make a message stronger.
Timeline Patterns - using perceptions of time to bring about change.
Stacking Presuppositions - building on one asserted premise to lead a line of thought and perception towards a desired outcome.
Temporal/Spatial Predicates - how specific predicates can affect thinking
Negotiating - utilising ethical negotiation skills that will enable all parties to arrive at an ecologically sound solution.
Propulsion Systems - how to build directions into people's thoughts and behaviours.
Installing Strategies - teaching people to think in new ways to arrive at specific outcomes, either by using hypnosis or otherwise.
